Heather Louise Manning is a dedicated Youth Garden Educator and a certified 500-hour Yoga Instructor. Her innovative approach centers on her work with children and the seamless integration of gardening and yoga.

Influenced by the DIY ethos of punk rock, the empowering principles of radical Black Feminism, and the spiritual foundations of the eight-limb path of Raja Yoga, Heather's teaching style beautifully harmonizes these diverse influences.

A native of rural northern Appalachia, Heather's earliest memories involve exploring the dense Pennsylvania woods, which provided her with a continuous immersion in the wonders of the outdoors.

Today, Heather remains deeply rooted in the Earth, making this connection an integral part of her work. She enthusiastically shares her love for the natural world with children through gardening and yoga, firmly believing that these practices offer young people valuable lessons in mindfulness, interconnectedness, and self-discovery. This connection to nature fosters a holistic sense of well-being in her students, echoing the profound impact her own rural upbringing had on her passion for environmental education and land stewardship.
